~ Locked & loaded to turn on first thing tomorrow morning🔥
Glazing was the worst & so many things went wrong but eventually we got there… This kiln load is filled with a lot of re-stocks, speckle salt orbs, hold & release incense vessels & garlic grater bowls as well as one-off pieces like all the new glazing experiments & horse vases. I’ll be holding my breath & crossing everything 🤞🏼🤞🏼🐢

~ A few test pieces using the clay stamps. Simple hand built dishes and bowls with impressions of birds, flowers & fish. At first I thought I would have to high-fire the stamps for them to work, but in bisque form they seem to work great! I find that the naturally ‘dry-feel’ of bisque lifts up from the wet clay’s surface easily & neatly.
I’ve very deeply fallen into this rabbit hole now. More on this journey soon, watch this space 👀🐢

Nathan and his team craft exceptional furniture in the Margaret river region of WA, their company is built on the integrity of details, materiality & longevity. They’ve now launched their own gallery space in Vasse, curated to include a small but sweet selection of WA artists and designers.
If you’re in the area or heading down for the long-weekend, be sure to make a stop at Unit 4/7 Albrey St in Vasse. Expect buttery smooth furniture, epic art & design objects on display with an awesome team behind it all.
