A little stockist run with Paul 🤍

We dropped off a fresh delivery of Wattle & Wax to The Little Artisan Gift Co. at Mindarie Marina.

Karen has created a gorgeous store filled with beautiful gifts, clothing, homewares… and, of course, a lovely selection of Wattle & Wax.

Right on the water, it’s definitely worth a visit!

And did I mention there’s a brewery nearby that makes seriously good pizza? 🍕That’s how I convinced Paul to come 😂😂

Stock delivery + lunch by the water = not a bad day at work. xx

The secret to a beautiful pillar candle isn’t just the first burn… it’s every burn after.

Our pillar candles are designed to evolve.

With just a few simple care steps, you’re helping to create an even wax pool, strong protective walls, and a candle that burns just as beautifully on its sixth burn as it did on its first.

In this video, I’ve sped up three hours into a few seconds so you can see exactly how an even burn develops. I’ll be taking you on the journey as your candle gradually transforms into a glowing lantern and, eventually, a beautiful tea light holder.

Let’s talk about wicks! 🕯️

Here I’m demonstrating the dipping technique using a simple matchstick. Dipping the wick into the wax helps prime and strengthen it, ready for your next burn. In my experience, it’s the best way to extinguish a candle.

It also gives you the perfect opportunity to re-centre your wick — something that is so important for getting the most out of your pillar candle!

After burning your pillar for 2–3 hours, the wick becomes longer and can naturally lean to one side. Gently re-centre the wick to the centre of the candle, not the wax pool. This will help encourage a more even burn.

It’s these simple little care tips that will help you get the most out of your candle 🤍 xx

Where does the wax go? 🤍

It's a questions I get asked often. Here I’ll show you what the first burn of our pillar candles looks like.

Our candles are designed to create their own wax reservoir when the care instructions are followed.

A few simple tips:
• Burn on a flat, stable surface.
• Keep away from drafts, air conditioning and open windows.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Burn for a maximum of 4 hours (I personally recommend 2–3 hours for the best results).

With the right care, you'll enjoy a beautifully scented home & gorgeous glow every time. ✨
