Hifi Hunter are proud to announce that our Churchlands Cinema project has received national recognition, after receiving the Installation Gold Award in the Sound+Image Awards 2026.

What began as a bare shell has been transformed into a dedicated home cinema designed around immersion, comfort and performance.

Recognition like this is always appreciated, but the real reward is creating spaces our clients genuinely love spending time in.

For months we've shared glimpses of this project as it came together.

The wiring.

The acoustics.

The lighting.

The build.

But we've kept the finished room under wraps.

Until now.

What began as a bare concrete shell has been transformed into a dedicated home cinema built for incredible movie nights, immersive sound and complete comfort.

A space where the lights dim, the stars appear overhead and the outside world disappears for a few hours.

Current project in progress.

Non-standard rooms can be difficult to turn into proper cinema spaces. Angled ceilings, windows, low walls and unusual proportions all affect screen size, speaker placement, seating, lighting and acoustics.

Our design process simplifies the complexity so everything works together from the start.

Project Kiln: Integrated Home Cinema, TV & Smart Home Setup in Perth.

This project brought together home cinema, living room AV, security and networking into one clean, easy-to-use system.

The result is an elevated aesthetic that has been precisely planned and installed behind the scenes. We worked with the builder to provide our AV design & engineering services during design and construction.

If you’re building or renovating and want your TV, audio, security and network done properly from the start, it makes a huge difference to plan it early.

Most video streaming services have a throughput of under 10Mbps and an audio rate of 500kbps – a far cry from the 65Mbps of video and 6Mbps that 4K Blu-ray can provide. Enter Kaleidescape, which offers the convenience of a digital library but with 4K Blu-ray quality. Titles are downloaded rather than streamed, and some can be purchased or rented while still in cinemas.
