Today isn’t just about celebrating women.

It’s about recognising the quiet strength behind the scenes.

The women building homes.
The women rebuilding themselves.

The women holding families together while chasing dreams that sometimes feel impossible.

Some women are designing beautiful spaces.
Some are designing entirely new chapters of their lives.

Some are mothers.
Some are business owners.
Some are navigating change, courage, and growth all at the same time.

And many are doing all of it… with a coffee in one hand and a million responsibilities in the other. ☕

At Lana Interior Design, I believe our homes should reflect who we are — strong, warm, layered, and full of life.

Because a home isn’t just a place.

It’s a space where women rest, dream, rebuild, create, and rise again.

So today I celebrate the women who are brave enough to start over.

Property Spotlight | 16 Stuart Place, Two Rocks

Every now and then a home pops up that simply feels easy to live in — and this one is exactly that.
Tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac in beautiful coastal Two Rocks, this home offers relaxed living with plenty of space for families, entertaining, and enjoying the laid-back Northern coastal lifestyle.

From a design perspective, the layout works beautifully. The home flows naturally between the living areas, with plenty of natural light and a practical open-plan design that makes everyday living feel effortless. The kitchen connects seamlessly with the living and dining spaces — always one of my favourite features in a home because it keeps the heart of the house social and functional.

What I particularly like about this property is the opportunity it offers. The neutral foundation allows you to easily add your own interior style — whether that’s coastal textures, soft natural tones, or a more contemporary finish. It’s the kind of home where a few thoughtful design touches could really elevate the space.

Outside, the property offers room to enjoy the coastal lifestyle Two Rocks is known for — space to entertain, relax, and enjoy those warm WA evenings.

Behind the scenes at Lana Interior Design ✨

Multiple screens, coastal tones everywhere, and a whole lot of creative focus. I’ve been spending my days designing coastal mood boards for Etsy — layering soft neutrals, natural textures, and calm coastal colours to create spaces that feel relaxed, intentional, and lived-in 🌊

This stage is all about quietly building, refining, and creating designs that actually help people see their space before they commit. Whether you’re renovating, building, or just refreshing a room, these mood boards are designed to take the guesswork out of styling.

✨ Styled Space Breakdown: Let’s Deconstruct the Vibe

Ever scroll past a space that works and wonder, “Why does that feel so right?”

Let me show you how to spot the magic in the details. Here’s a breakdown of one of my favourite styled corners:

🛋️ The Anchor:
A neutral, low-line sofa sets the tone. Warm beige adds softness and creates a clean canvas for layering.
🪵 The Texture:
Natural timber coffee table + rattan planter = organic charm. The combo warms up the minimal palette and gives the room soul.
🎨 The Palette:
Soft linen, creamy whites, olive green, and a touch of matte black for contrast. Grounded, fresh, and timeless.
🌿 The Greenery:
Fiddle leaf fig (yes, the one everyone either loves or curses). It adds height, colour, and life — the ultimate styling cheat code.
🖼️ The Art:
Textured, abstract wall piece in the same tonal family. Quiet elegance, big impact.
🕯️ The Mood Setters:
A sculptural ceramic bowl, a coffee table book, and a candle, styled in thirds for that effortless, “I just woke up like this” aesthetic.

🔥 Interior Trend: Love It or Leave It?

Let’s talk about the trend that’s been everywhere lately:
✖️ Bouclé Everything
✔️ Plaster Walls
🔁 Arches & Curves
⚫ Statement Black Fixtures
🌿 Indoor Trees the size of small children

I’ll go first…
Bouclé? Love the texture, but not when the whole room feels like a fuzzy marshmallow.

Curves? Obsessed. Always will be.

Indoor olive trees? Cute, but why are they always $280?
Plaster walls? Forever yes. Timeless, tactile, and full of soul.

Matte black tapware? Great in theory… until the fingerprints start. 🙃

Interior trends can inspire, but the magic is in making them work for you. Not every trend deserves a seat in your home (or your cart).

Let’s be honest — you can make a space look like a million bucks without spending a dime.

✨ Tip: Style with what you already own (but differently)

Before you buy anything, try this:
→ Grab a tray, a vase, a book stack, and a candle.
→ Shop your home.
→ Move them around. Group them. Layer heights. Step back.
Boom — you’ve just styled a corner without touching your wallet.
Other low-cost styling hacks I swear by:
🎯 Kmart magic – white ceramic vases, jute baskets, affordable art frames. Thank me later.
🖼️ Thrift + flip – second-hand side tables, old frames, or grandma's candlestick = treasure.
🌿 Go green – snip a branch from your garden, pop it in a glass jar. Instant designer vibe.
📚 The book trick – Stack 2-3 neutral hardcover books, top with a candle or object. You’re styling now, darling.
