We are incredibly proud to have been given the opportunity to design Meninas Grill, recently named Winner – European Restaurant at the 2026 Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence.✨
From the outset, the vision for Meninas Grill was clear — to bring a little piece of Spain to Perth and create an environment that captures the warmth, energy and character of Spanish dining.
Our approach was centred around creating a space that feels authentic, immersive and inviting. Rather than simply referencing Spanish design, we wanted to capture the feeling of being there — the warmth of the architecture, the richness and tactility of the materials, the relaxed sophistication and the unmistakable sense of gathering around a table with exceptional food, wine and conversation.
Every element of the interior was carefully considered to build a strong sense of place. Warm tones, layered textures, considered finishes and atmospheric lighting come together to create a space that feels refined yet relaxed, intimate yet vibrant. The design was never intended to compete with the experience, but to enhance it — creating a backdrop that allows the food, hospitality and energy of Meninas Grill to take centre stage.
The result is a restaurant designed not simply to be seen, but to be experienced. A space that transports you, evokes the spirit of Spain and invites you to linger, connect and enjoy the moment.
It was a genuine pleasure to work alongside the incredible team behind Meninas Grill and to bring their vision to life. Their passion for Spanish hospitality and their commitment to creating an exceptional dining experience is what makes this restaurant so special.
To now see Meninas Grill recognised as Winner – European Restaurant is an incredibly rewarding moment for everyone involved, and a wonderful acknowledgement of the vision, passion and collaboration behind the project.
