Hey gang gang, I just need a couple of extra people to join two sewing classes, Tues 3-5:30pm and Thursday 9:30am-12pm. If Thursday is not possible for you, then perhaps Wednesday day? I have a few ladies who I don’t want to disappoint by cancelling the sessions. Have you been looking for an extra prompt to make the time?

Susie didn’t come to sew this week but to drop off some poppyseed cake before heading back to the US for a period. Susie has become a friend through sewing class and I’m richer for it 🫶🏼 Many other friendships have developed in class too.

Enrolments for Term 4 sewing classes start Sunday 27/9/26. First in first served ie. no wait list prior.

TOP TIP: Keep your hang tapes from retail garment purchases to use as stay tape in your sewing projects.
This marle interlock cotton needs stabilising at the shoulder seam. Use the pattern shoulder measurement to cut the tape - the cut fabric may already have stretched so don’t use it.

Transform your clothing! If you’re not 167cm tall with a B-cup, then your store-bought clothing probably doesn’t fit right.
By learning to sew, you can take up hems, lengthen sleeves, put in some darts and learn the fundamentals of getting fabric to look how you want and do what you want … by it’s rules. South of the river.

Enrolments are on again from this Sunday 5/7 until 20th July for classes starting 21st July 2026. $410 for 10 weekly sessions. Small groups of 4 max. Experience instructor guiding you to use sewing patterns. Hundreds of people have transformed their sewing ability from zero to hero.

I had such a creative week this week. Here’s a peak behind the scenes. Conceptualising, choosing fabric, patternmaking, cutting, sewing, fitting, pattern alts … and painting for charity (you’ll see the start of a Marrakesh Riad I had the fortune of visiting before COVID).
