It's been hard to do much of anything lately with my higher pain levels...

Over the last few days, I made myself a little laptop bag by finally cutting into my first piece of my favorite artist fromcarlyb "Treasure Box" fabric collection, called "Soul Mates" from the amazingingly talented The Colour Collab 😁

What do you think? It's only my second thing I've quilted, so I'm open to constructive criticism!

I've finally got a laptop, so hopefully I'll be able to post more often! I'm going to try to film myself cutting and possibly sewing a Halloween circle skirt for you all today, and I have plenty of photos of little creations, sketches, zoo outings, and other fun behind the scenes stuff that I can post to share more about my life and creative adventures!

Finally another use for my time stuck in bed! Apart from watching and learning from, and being entertained by, any and all From Carly B videos and patreon content, and the many, many other sewing videos and TV shows I watch 😅

They also have great tutorials to easily make things like wrap tops, pants, and dresses, and the way she uses paper cut outs to explain the patterns is so easy to understand!

I always felt intimidated by pants construction, and not understand it well enough to make them myself, something I was scared to try. Now I have 2 pairs of my own, and I'm working on others for markets!

When it comes to chronic health issues, not every day in my small business life is a productive and fun day.

Some days I can't walk at all, and other days like today, I am in so much pain it's hard to lie in bed, let alone be up and moving around.

I want to share my honest journey, not just the bright days. So others with chronic health issues can see that they can possibly also work around some of their own symptoms if they are scared of trying, like I was for so long. Now I'd never go back to working for someone else.
