Yesterday's Storybook Adventures session was the perfect way to begin the long weekend ✨📚

With rain outside, we moved indoors to the auditorium for the very first time and it turned out to be the cosiest space to slow down, create and connect.

Little hands stirred Wombat Stew potions, fed the Very Hungry Caterpillar, explored nature treasures inspired by May Gibbs, created Gruffalo crowns, reached for the stars through playdough invitations inspired by How to Catch a Star, and added their mark to our collaborative artwork inspired by The Dot.

There was storytelling, imagination, creativity and connection woven throughout the morning.

One of my favourite things about Creative Play Friday is watching children become deeply engaged in play while grown-ups have the chance to exhale, connect with their little ones and enjoy meaningful conversations with other families.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a beautiful morning of storybook-inspired play. It was such a lovely way to welcome the long weekend together ❤️✨

Tea Party Magic ☕🌿✨

Today felt soft, calm and full of beautiful connection.

Little hands poured tea potions, scooped sensory treasures, painted with real tea bags, decorated sweet treats and added their own magical touches to our tea party mural 🤎

One of my favourite things about Creative Play Friday is watching families slow down together. No rushing. No pressure. Just time to create, explore and connect.

The painting with tea invitation was such a beautiful process to watch unfold — drips, splatters, earthy marks and tiny moments of experimentation that turned into the most beautiful artworks.

Thank you to the lovely families who joined us today and helped support Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea alongside 💛
