Jenny has over 20 years experience working in the pond/reticulation industry and decided to

start her own business as a result of a growing passion for water gardens. From a small market shop, the business has grown into a large retail store and display centre, where we now have a variety of working displays and all the products needed to build a complete water garden. Our main aim is to provide the service and advice that only a small business with a passion for what they sell is able to do.

As temperatures rise, your pond’s oxygen levels drop. Warm water holds less oxygen. Without enough oxygen, fish become stressed, algae blooms can worsen and water quality declines.

Why oxygen is vital in summer:

-Fish breathe dissolved oxygen to survive and thrive.
-Beneficial bacteria need oxygen to break down waste.
-Aeration prevents harmful algae and foul odours.
-Stratification separates warm, oxygen-rich surface waters from cooler, oxygen-poor bottom layers, which directly impacts aquatic life and nutrient cycling.
-Healthy oxygen levels = happy, active fish.

Installing aerators or fountains is one of the best ways to keep oxygen levels steady and your pond ecosystem balanced all summer long.

Too cold to venture outside? That’s okay, we’ve got warmth, beauty, and life right inside with our houseplants. We have some simple tips to help your indoor jungle thrive.

💧Avoid Overwatering – your plant’s not a fish!
✂️ Prune when needed – a little trim goes a long way.
☀️Light it up right – position your plants to soak in winter sun where they can.
🧼 Dust those leaves – clean leaves = happy photosynthesis.
🌱 Feed smart – fertilizer's not always necessary in the cold months, so go easy.
🗣️ Talk to them – yep, it’s weird… but it works.
