Here is another example of how the afternoon sun on a window can dry out the coating of your block out curtains.
An extra layer of thin lining was added to protect the backing and it is now looking as good as new.

Getting back into it.

These curtains were originally sheer only,
but after a while the owners were not happy
with the sun shining into this area late in the afternoon.
So we decided to put some lining in with the sheer to make it block out.

The colour of the lining is black, which makes the grey/ brown sheers look richer in colour.

Call me for a quote if you need this type of alteration work done.

Personally I like it to the floor every time.
Two reasons:
1. Short curtains are less insulating they can leak light, heat and cold from underneath.
2. To the floor curtains brings balance to a room.
