Had the loveliest tote bag workshop last weekend!

Helping you learn to sew for the first time, from winding a bobbin and threading your machine, to cutting and pinning your fabric, to learning to sew fancy French seams, and ending up with a beautiful and useful tote bag at the end, fills me with joy. 🥰

Look at these amazing PJ shorts finished in the Learn to Sew workshop yesterday! 🙌

Also, check out the awesome banana print thread bin that two of my lovely students made for me, by upcycling a yoghurt pot. 🍌✨

The next Learn to Sew 5 week course starts on Sunday 17 May, and I’ll be adding some new workshops soon, including a Shift Dress, Ruffle Tote and Bucket Hat, so watch this space.

Another lovely sewing class today! We started by taking measurements, cutting out paper patterns to our size, and then cutting out our PJ shorts pieces from fabric. We also stitched the leg seams and prepared the waistband with interfacing. I was too busy chatting to take many photos! 😅 We’ll be finishing the PJ shorts next Sunday 🥰 - Suzie

We had a super lovely Zip Pouch workshop on Tuesday night, full of sewing, learning new skills, enjoying tea and biscuits, and lots of fun chat!

The ladies on my Tuesday morning Learn to Sew course at the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre finished their PJ shorts this morning!

Sundays are for sewing. 🧵🪡

Such a busy sewing day yesterday! We had a private PJ Shorts workshop in the morning for a lovely mother and daughter duo, who finished their PJ shorts that they started last week. 🩳✨

In the afternoon was a fully booked Zip Pouch workshop, so all the sewing machines came out!
