Mikaelah trusted me implicitly with her bouquet - giving me the freedom to take her vision and make it my own.
She knew she wanted soft, romantic whites, but beyond that, the details were mine to dream up. So I kept a few surprises up my sleeve, including the most beautiful peonies, tucked amongst garden roses, delicately scented freesias and trailing orchids.
And because I couldn’t resist, I personally delivered her bouquet so I could see the moment she saw it for the first time. With the biggest thank you to Maddie from Content Creation we captured her reaction on film, and honestly, it was one of those little moments that makes all the dreaming, sourcing and creating worth it.
A bouquet that felt completely hers, with just enough of the unexpected. 🤍

A visual diary for June. Floral abundance delivered to your door. The beginning of being unwell that would have me in a chokehold for the best part of the month. Little visitors leaving their mark on the shop windows. Max taking on the Australian Micro Title and winning his qualifying night. Spreading the lore of Juju and Sparkle Cookie (iykyk). Sneaky stops for scones from the amazing Ktk Baking & Co. . The most delicious velvet tulips you ever did see. Stanley Cup streaming while working (go canes!). Turtle Chip gifts from the minis. Peonies in June, WHAT. New wall art from ᴘʏx . Landcloud one struggling in the life I pay for. Textural and a touch of the weirdly unruly. Flower pressing for a wedding anniversary gift - replicating a bridal bouquet I made ten years ago. Making big floral statements and then switching to colour drenching for an event. Round two of fresh illness and living on seaweed crisps and liquid iv. Gifts from my favourite from afar and celebrating 400k kms on Ducaddy, you did good kid. June found a quieter pace and allowed space for me to be unwell after months of end to end work and zero life balance.

Our infamous wall shots are never as effortless as they look.

They usually begin with someone yelling, “Go! Go!”, followed by countless attempts, reviewing every video only to realise the bouquet was turned in just a little too far and collecting a few encouraging horn honks from passing cars along the way.

Then comes the editing - the lighting tweaks, the cropping, the filtering. Carefully removing every trace of the chaos it took to capture the moment. The finished image feels calm, considered and effortless, but behind every wall shot is a little bit of organised mayhem.

Instagram gets the polished version. We get the chaos.
And somehow, it’s always worth it.

A visual diary for May that in true style is late. Saying farewell to my Nanna’s beautiful sister. A massive declutter and reshuffle of the workroom that would make Marie Kondo cry. Photo Booth proof that you can still have fun when you’re deliriously exhausted. Printed cards for Mother’s Day. Future florist giving me a run for my money. Load one of four for Mother’s Day madness with epic Tetris packing skills from C & M. The last soldiers waiting for pick up for Mother’s Day and the only photo I managed to capture during a hectic week. New artwork in the alley. Sydney Flower Market of the CJ Hendry kind, landing on her Instagram stories (pinch me), and some of the varieties of plush flowers (no natives in the wild as they had already been snatched up). Last sprintcar race for the season and hanging out with my favourite Godfather. Reflexed roses for the perfect autumnal day and the last Wedding of a very busy season. Orchid sourcing for a special event. Creating enchanted magic for a charity gala night raising money for breast and rare cancer - pouring all I had in to the job to make my Mum proud. A very lush and abundant floral nest for the last event for May and the beginning of being ill from simply running myself into the ground. You know it’s been a real one when there’s barely photos from the month that was. I would say I’ll try for next month but we all know I won’t.

Not here to blend in. 🌺

Bold colour, beautiful movement and flowers that refuse to be ordinary.

Gemma and Matt’s wedding was unapologetically vibrant - sucker-punched with colour, layered with texture, and finished with unexpected details. Coloured candles and cascades of edible fruit were woven throughout the florals, creating a celebration that felt playful, immersive and completely unforgettable.

When I first met Gemma, her only non-negotiable was colour. Everything else? She handed over to me with complete creative freedom.

So I dreamed up a hyper-real palette - electric, saturated and almost acid-like. Rather than playing it safe, I sourced coloured candles to echo the florals and layered in fresh fruit to add another unexpected dimension.

The best weddings happen when there’s trust. Give your florist the freedom to interpret your vision, and they’ll create something that feels even more magical than you imagined - something you’ll remember for years to come.
