“Why don’t you sell any creations?”
I get asked this quite often, so I wanted to share a little bit about why Ally & Me doesn’t operate as a business. 💕
I live with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome & C-PTSD, which means my physical & mental health, aswell as my energy levels can change very suddenly & sometimes without much warning. I experience crashes/episodes that can last anywhere from a few days to a few months, where even simple daily tasks can become really difficult.
At the moment, I’ve been in one for over a month, & during times like this I often can’t create at all — even the hobbies I love can become impossible to keep up with.
That’s one of the main reasons I choose not to sell my creations or take requests/orders. I never want to let people down by committing to something that my health may suddenly prevent me from finishing.
Ally & Me has always been about creating little moments of comfort, kindness, & magic without pressure, deadlines, or expectations. Keeping it this way allows me to continue creating when I’m able to, while also taking care of myself when I’m not.
