WELCOME AUTUMN
In the basket, the breath of Mother Earth -
pumpkin, walnut, fig, and vinegar
gifts gathered from the garden's heart.
In the North, the song of water.
In the East, the spark of fire.
In the West, the whisper of air.
In the South, the warm embrace of earth.
Directions laid upon a tray,
intentions planted in the garden.
The cats dance, the wind speaks,
Nature heart beats with ours.
And we whisper: "Welcome, Autumn."
