A massive thank you to everyone who came out and made our opening night so special .

To everyone who turned up, supported the artists, had a drink, ate a pizza and celebrated with us thank you!

A massive shoutout to our wonderful sponsors Ashby Firewood for their support, for keeping the wine flowing, and Igor Almeida for the absolutely delicious pizza dough. You legends helped make the night what it was.

And of course, the biggest thank you to our incredible artists:

Awhenata Pahau · Iona Skyring · Jan Williams · Jesse Darlene · Katey Halliday · Kay Myo Min · Linton Kinnane · Mason Heaven · Renae Davies

Thank you for sharing your work, your stories, your creativity and your clay with us.

Thrown & Formed is a celebration of clay, community and the very different ways we all make. We’re so grateful you came along for the ride.

We’re growing — and we’re looking for good people to grow with us.
As ES Ceramics moves into its next stage, we’re looking to connect with a few different kinds of people:
Teachers
Already teaching and keen to teach in a busy, supportive studio with enthusiastic students? Or looking to expand your responsibilities beyond the class itself? We’d love to hear from you.
Studio support / regular shifts
Looking to pick up regular work in a creative studio environment? We’ll need people who are reliable, practical, friendly, and happy helping the studio run smoothly.
Studio potters / production potters
Chasing your own craft or art practice, but also looking to earn a wage in a working production studio? There may be opportunities to get involved in making, production, glazing, firing, prep, and general studio work.
Trainees, apprentices and juniors
You don’t need to have it all figured out. Experience matters, but so does attitude, curiosity, care, and a willingness to learn.
Residencies / visiting makers
Interstate or international potter passing through Adelaide? Or looking for a short-term studio residency? We’re open to conversations.
We’ve got a lot of things in the works and, as we scale, we’ll need the right people around us.
If any of this sounds like you, or someone you know, drop us a line or get in touch at [email protected]
More soon.
