The story of a sad moth eaten cardigan that has been loved and worn for almost 10 years. It was washed (very thoroughly), pulled apart, unravelled then reknitted and sew up to make a shorter version of the original. Back into use and hopefully a new favourite 🤩

I’m excited about our Knit Clinic Port Fairy Textiles this week. Local designer Ceels has come up with a gorgeous design for a beanie for Port Fairy Folk Festival big 50th festival next year. Our little group is testing the pattern this week at Knit Clinic learning and using the knitting skills of knitting in the round and colour work using a pattern. Bring your 8 ply yarn or we will have a yarn for you in store and your size 8 (4mm) needles - either Double Pointed Needles (DPN) or round needles. Tuesday 12-2.30 Port Fairy Textiles. I have had the privilege of finishing and repairing this absolutely beautiful fair isle jumper for a client. It came in pieces, was not quite finished and had lots of ends to sew in 🧵. But how amazing is it now - from the back of a wardrobe to being worn, this beauty should last lots more years 🧶💕🤩
