I'm Kylie and I have been stitching in some way for as long as I can remember. Hoop Art, Mini Embroidery Hoop Necklaces, cushions, Project Sacks and Cloth Pots are my focus using beautiful modern fabrics, upcycling precious vintage linens, hand embroidery and a whole lot of stitchy goodness. ☀️ Op Shop Haul…. Well a few, not just one.
My top tip ➡️ TIME

You have to spend time on the hunt. Go to the op shops that always deliver as well as the ones that never deliver. There just might be that one day when you score. I scored 6 in one shop this week! A shop where I don’t go often because I’ve NEVER been successful there. I took the time to go this week…you never know.

Only one of these bad boys fits in my machine at once. So it takes a while to freshen them up. The weather was perfect today. Sunny and breezy. 🌬️
Pretty soon the autumn and winter sun will shine elsewhere and not on my line… I hope I get 8 more loads of sunshine ☀️🤞🏼

Another UFO - another zippy project pouch. Pretty sure these were leftovers from the scrappy paper bag challenge some time back.
Add a chunky zipper, some cute labels, a bit of wooly satin stitch and some favourite fabric for a quilted back with neon thread (in love 🧵💚 with that!) and she’s done ✅
Lots of little things exiting the unfinished pile! Might be time for a bigger one soon. 🤗

I love a good zippy pouch! Especially a big one. They are perfect for storing the project I’m working on and all the ingredients needed to finish.
This one started as some slice and insert blocks from too long ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ At least it’s finished now with all my favourite things - fun fabrics, stripey zipper, embroidery stitches, cool labels and a broccoli 🥦 zipper charm 🤷🏻‍♀️

👜 Weekend Bags - my last custom orders for the year for a special lady to gift for Xmas. She provided the fabrics and colour palette and I just added a little. Delivered a couple of weeks ago.
These bags are huge - perfect for taking to the beach, an overnighter or filling with your supplies to take to your sewing group.
And there’s even a baby one! Slightly smaller but super useful. I think that one is staying with her 😍
