A subtle refresh with a little twist 🌿 I’ve brought out the silky oak’s natural beauty while adding floral appliqués and beading for a folk-art finish. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but that’s half the fun of flipping furniture!

This freebie had drips, gloss, questionable hairs and enough beige to last a lifetime. 😂

Here’s how I tackled the prep, replaced the damaged base and used a paint wash to bring the natural timber back to life, paired with a soft blue finish.

Not every furniture flip needs a dramatic transformation. This free solid-timber chest of drawers just needed a few subtle changes to give it some contrast and character. See the full refinish, including the walnut stained timber top finished with FIDDES Hard Wax Oil. ✨

Not every furniture flip needs to be a dramatic transformation. 🤎 This chest had a great shape but a tired, cracked top, so I stripped it back, added a rich walnut stain, aged brass hardware and refreshed the paint in a similar tone. Subtle, but what a difference.
