Rob Mills Architecture & Interiors is honoured to share Murray River Residence x The Local Project

Recently featured in Belle magazine , Murray River Residence overlooks the Botanic Gardens, bringing together architecture, interiors and landscape in a home that is calm, refined and deeply connected to its surroundings.

Rich materiality, carefully curated art and thoughtfully composed spaces create an environment that enriches everyday life, while reflecting the individuality of its owners.

We are honoured to be entrusted by our clients to bring their vision to life. Murray River Residence is a considered response to the way they want to live, shaped through listening and understanding. The result is a residence that is both deeply personal, inspiring and functional.

Throughout the life of this project, we were honoured to collaborate with some of the finest artisans, builders, craftspeople and consultants. Each brought their expertise, care and craftsmanship to the project, helping to realise the vision and bring it to life. Thank you to everyone involved in crafting this home with us.

Rob Mills Architecture & Interiors is proud to announce, alongside our client, trusted collaborators and expert consultants the recent planning approval of Sunset Residence.

Set within an iconic location, the residence is shaped by our clients’ vision for the site and their confidence, clarity and trust in RMA and the broader consultant team throughout the design and planning process.

Whilst cradling the integrity of the design, we successfully and respectfully navigated the relationships between our client, neighbours and council to achieve a positive outcome for all involved.

Sunset Residence joins a growing portfolio of RMA-designed residences across some of the world’s most remarkable locations with each responding uniquely to its site, context and landscape.

It has been both a privilege and an honour to be commissioned to design and craft a residence on such extraordinary land.

RMA Travels

A few moments from Interior Designer Abbey’s first stop in her trip through Europe.

Abbey’s first stop was London, where she has been immersed in the world of exceptional design through meeting with trusted suppliers, artisans and consultants and visiting some of the city’s most inspiring museums, galleries and hotels.

At RMA, we believe great design begins with curiosity. To truly understand design, it needs to be seen, touched and felt in person. Great design is about more than how something looks; it is about the feeling it creates, the emotions it evokes and the experience it leaves behind.

We invest in our people by giving them opportunities to travel, experience exceptional design and learn from leading craftspeople, designers and places around the world. It’s part of how we nurture talent, encourage curiosity and support our team in becoming the designers they aspire to be.

We’re always looking for exceptional people to join our team and work alongside incredible clients on international , award-winning projects. If you want to be a part of a unique and inspiring environment we encourage you to get in touch at [email protected]

The architecture supports diverse ways of working while creating a studio that feels generous, welcoming and deeply connected to the people who use it every day.

This level forms the central workspace for the design team, crafted to encourage collaboration, conversation and wellbeing. A sculptural rooftop arbour introduces natural light and moments of calm. More than a workplace, the studio reflects the values that have guided the practice for more than three decades.

The Rob Mills Architecture & Interiors team is proud to announce that construction has officially commenced with on our new Sydney flagship studio and the flagship store, located in the heart of Queen Street, Woollahra.

This project is a celebration of the incredible relationships we have built with the many talented consultants, suppliers and craftspeople who have contributed to its design, council approval and now to the delivery of the project. We look forward to recognising and sharing the contribution of each collaborator throughout the journey—whether that be through the materials, products and craftsmanship they bring to the project or the expertise and knowledge they have provided in helping us reach this construction milestone.

Queen Street is more than just a workplace. It is an environment focused on wellbeing, health and connection, to encourage collaboration and meaningful design. A space where our team, clients and industry partners can connect, create and be inspired.

At RMA, we learn and evolve each day to deliver better outcomes for our clients. We recognise the importance of visualisations in helping our clients understand, explore and refine a design throughout the creative process.
Rather than simply documenting an approved concept, our renders are an integral part of the design process, allowing us to test ideas, explore details, communicate design intent and collaborate with our clients to shape the design alongside our clients.

We look forward to sharing the journey as this project comes to life.
