My Supernatural Fanfiction
Supernatural fanfiction from the end of Inherit the Earth
Becky’s POV
Becky has been returned to existence with thanks to Alex for restoring things and everyone. She wakes up on her lounge remembering her previous interaction with Charles. Arguing with him about what he just quite recently wrote to happen to Jared and Dean. Recalling what she said after reading the ending that he’d just wrote.
BECKY: ‘You can’t do this to the fans. What you did to Dean? What you did to Jared?’
She got up from the lounge and rushed to her computer to see if he had written anything else that would join up with the ending that he wrote and sure enough, there were quite a few pages there so she had a read of it to find out what he had in store for the boys. ‘No, no,’ she said, shaking her head from side to side. Worried. ‘I can’t let that happen. No way in the world.’ She noticed the date on the computer. Oh, hell. She thought. She may have been too late with all the other stuff but hoped that she wasn’t too late to warn Jared and Dean of what Charles had in store for them. It was Charles’s ending for the guys that she was focused on the most. She closed her laptop, kept the window of the document open, unhooked the cable from the power point anf intended to take it to show to Jared and Dean to warn them. Just making sure she had proof in case they didn’t believe her at first about what Charles planning. She knew where the bunker was as Charles mentioned it in the piece she’d read. ‘Please G...,’ she stopped short when she just about said God remembering that Charles told her that he was God before he’d wiped her away with the snap of his fingers.
‘Please be at the bunker, guys.’ She said as she hurried to grab her car keys off the hook by the front door. ‘Please believe me.’ After snatching the keys off the hook she roughly grabbed the door k**b and hurried out of the house. The door slamming shut behind her and ran for her car.
Jared and Dean’s POV
As Jared and Dean were heading off for their bedrooms for some well deserved rest, they stop in their tracks when a knock comes at the door. They looked up towards the door and then looked at one another. ‘We weren’t expecting anyone were we?’ Dean asks. ‘Not that I know of.’ Jared replied. Approaching the door moments later Jared was walking ahead of Dean and reached for the door handle. It’s Becky standing on the other side of it. ‘Becky?’ Jared said. ‘Oh thank G...once again stopping short of saying God. ‘You’re here. You’re okay. It hasn’t happened yet. I had to come and warn you before it did.’ Becky was in a panic state with a worried look on her face. She was holding a laptop in her arms against her chest. ‘What hasn’t happened yet?’ Dean asked curious. ‘Can I come in? I promise I’ll tell you everything. It’s just really, really important that I warn you before it was too late.’
‘Sure thing. Come on in.’ Jared said as he and Dean cleared a path for her. During the time that Jared and Dean knew Becky, they couldn’t recall her ever being so anxious about anything. Whatever it was must have been very serious. They watched her start down the staircase after entering and shared a look after they turned around; giving a facial shrug in addition to a shoulder shrug as Jared closed the door.
Becky’s POV
They each took a seat in the library. Becky on one side and the guys opposite from her. She sat her laptop down on the table in front of her. Jared and Dean both leaning on the table with their arms crossed in front of them. ‘Okay,’ Jared began. ‘What’s up? What do you look so worried about? Is there something wrong?’
‘It’s Charles.’ Becky replied. ‘I guess I spoke a little too soon before hey,’ Dean said as he turned to look to Jared and then back to Becky. ‘What about Charles, Becky?’ he asked. ‘Well, I’ve been gone a year so it’s likely too late to stop everything’s that’s happened and fortunately you guys were still here so you haven’t had the chance to go out to the barn to fight off the vamps so I just needed to warn you of what is going to be awaiting you there.’
‘Was it a case we were supposed to check out?’ Jared asked. ‘Yes,’ Becky replied. ‘but...with no thanks to Charles, it was going to be the end for Dean. And I mean a permanent end.’ Becky took a deep breath before explaining that Charles had rocked up at her place and mentioned that he and the guys had a few words before disappearing. And came to her to help inspire him to be able to write again as he couldn’t think of anything to write. He did eventually start to write something. The first draft of the piece he wrote first was okay, however she made the mistake of telling him that it lacked something that his previous writing had that made his work really gripping to be a page a turner and have the reader unintentionally stay up all night reading and that’s when he wrote thee piece with the ending first. And that ending involved Dean’s ultimate ending. Becky opened her laptop and Charles’ piece blinked on. ‘I have the proof of what Charles had planned for you guys.’ She turned the laptop around for the guys to read whilst she just patiently waited. She had nowhere else to be in a hurry as the only place she needed to be was where she was now. If it meant that she could intervene on Charles end plan for Jared and Dean she was more than happy to face the revenge that Charles would probably sick on her if he were to learn that she was the reason that he would never get the chance to watch his precious ending for Jared and Dean play out. Oh well, she had a good life. Some time had passed when...
‘Uh, Becky.’ Jared said interrupting her train of thought. He and Dean had looked at each other and then at her. ‘What’s wrong guys?’ she asked. ‘Oh G... you don’t believe me. I swear Charles wrote that himself.’
‘No, it’s not that,’ Dean added. ‘It’s just, none of this stuff has even happened.’
‘Seriously?’ Becky asked surprised. ‘Seriously.’ Jared replied. ‘Oh thank G... that’s a relief. I’m not too late than.’ She couldn’t bring herself to say the word God without thinking of Charles. ‘Just a curious question though,’ Jared continued looking at Becky. ‘Charles wrote this piece himself, right?’
‘Right.’
‘Uh, are you from the future or something?’ Becky didn’t understand the question. A confused look on her face. ‘What? No. Charles disintegrated me with a snap of his fingers after he disintegrated my family at the beginning of the year after he told me he was...God. I woke up on my lounge a little while ago and thought I’d check if he wrote anything else. And I found that piece.’
‘What year do you think it is, right now?’ Dean asked. ‘Almost 2021.’ The boys looked at each other in silence. ‘What?’
‘Becky,’ Jared said, as he closed the laptop. ‘We’re in early January of 2020. So you must be here from the future. But Dean and I really appreciate that you’ve given us a heads up.’
‘I’m not from the future. The computer clearly read that it’s almost the year 2021 and those things bar Dean’s demise has already happened. You guys have to believe me. I’m not making this up.’
‘Whoa. Calm down. Just breathe,’ Dean tried soothingly. Becky closed her eyes and took a deep breath. They just had to believe her. They just had to. ‘You’re really serious.’ He continued. ‘Deadly,’ Becky replied. ‘If the computer is suddenly reading the beginning of 2020, I’d say that Charles has changed the date on it and he’s erased your memories of those events that’s happened.’
‘Knowing him. I wouldn’t put anything past him.’ Dean responded. Suddenly a young guy appeared standing behind Jared and Dean. He was wearing a long-sleeve white dress shirt and cream coloured jeans. ‘Guys, behind you.’ They turned and Jared said, ‘Alex, hey.’
‘Who’s Jack?’ Becky asked. ‘He’s the new God.’ Dean replied. ‘What about Chuck?’
‘Actually that’s why I’m here.’ Jack replied, pulling out the chair at the end of the table so that he’d be able to see the guys and Becky and sat down.
Jared and Dean’s POV
‘Now firstly Becky's right,’ Jack said looking at Jared and Dean. ‘The date on her computer did in fact read 2021. Everything that Chuck wrote in that word document did indeed happen bar Dean’s demise. She got to you guys just in time before you went to that barn for a case. Chuck just changed the date on the computer.’ Jack grabbed the computer. ‘I’m just going to change the date on this thing.’
‘You know how to work it?’ Dean asked. Dean and Jared shared a stunned look. Jack wasn’t even that old and yet they were witnessing Jack naturally working away on it. ‘Being the new God, of course ‘ he replied. ‘Okay. There.’
‘Uh. A question,’ Jared began. ‘In regards to Chuck.’
‘Of course.’
‘You absorbed all of his “God powers” right?’
‘Yes, that’s right.’
‘Well how was he able to change the date on the computer without his powers before Becky got here to show us what else he wrote?’
‘I’d say he somehow has something that allowed him to. Probably something he set up just in case.’ Jack has a look on his face like he’s just realised something. ‘Which means there’s a chance that he may be back from where you abandoned him a while ago.’ Jack turned his attention to Becky. She looked back at him. ‘No Becky. I might not have been around back then but I know about the Supernatural books that Chuck wrote and that you began to write your own fanfiction for it. I’d like you to do something.’
‘Like what?’ Becky asked curious. ‘I’d like for you to rewrite everything that Chuck wrote. Including the episode that involves Dean’s demise. Then begin with a fresh work for a continuation.’
‘Wait, hold on.’ Jared said looking at Jack. ‘If Chuck has his powers back, won’t he notice that something’s different. Like what’s playing out isn’t what he wrote and asking where Dean’s death is? He’s going to be pi**ed.’
‘Let him be pi**ed all he wants,’ Dean responded. ‘We’ll just do a showdown with him again.’ Jack turned back to Becky and asked, ‘Will you do it, Becky?’
‘It might not be the same though. You know, what the fans know of it.’
‘That’s why it’s called fanfiction. Your own ideas on the page. And I’ll put it out.’ Becky looked at Jared and I and asked, ‘Is that okay with you guys?’
‘I’d rather it was you and not Chuck any day of the week.’ Jared said. ‘I second that.’ Dean added.
‘Alrighty then.’ Jack said.
Chuck’s POV
Chuck was standing by the entrance door to the bunker. Leaning on the railing of the stairs. Looking down at Jared, Dean, Becky and Jack. He had overheard everything that was said. Including the questioning about if he had his powers back. Like he was going to give up THAT bit of information. That probably sounded like he was revealing that he had them back. But just leave that open for speculation. After all, there was speculation about whether Lisa’s son, Ben, was Dean’s son. Why not have more speculation going around, hey. ‘I’ve got work to do.’ He said, with a grin.
The Audience POV
A shot looking down at Jared, Dean, Becky and Jack getting up from the table. Looking back to Chuck but Chuck’s gone. And there wasn’t even the sound of the door being open or closed. Chuck having his powers back? Possibly. Don’t know.
