Every project begins with a simple idea - to create a home that feels effortless to live in and timeless to look at.

For this contemporary residence, clean lines, natural materials and carefully proportioned forms create a calm, sophisticated street presence. Soft landscaping has been woven into the architecture to add warmth, texture and a connection to nature.

A new chapter begins in Rylstone.

We are excited to share that Pirrello Design Associates has been appointed to design a bespoke rural estate set across 5 acres in the breathtaking landscape of Rylstone, NSW.

The vision includes a generous single-storey family home, separate guest house and garage - carefully positioned to sit quietly within the land while capturing uninterrupted views in every direction.

At the heart of the design is an existing dam, creating a stronger connection between architecture and landscape.

The brief draws inspiration from relaxed French Provincial living, featuring a wraparound deck, light-filled sunroom and spaces designed for both connection and retreat.

Before the first line is drawn, our focus is understanding the land - orientation, sun, views, privacy and how the home should belong to its setting.

After leaving behind the pace of Sydney, our clients are embracing a slower country lifestyle, and we are excited to bring that vision to life.

Thoughtful interior planning is about creating spaces that support the different rhythms of daily life.

For our latest DA approved residence in Annandale, the upper level has been carefully arranged to balance privacy and family living. The master suite has been conceived as a quiet retreat, with a dedicated ensuite that provides a sense of sanctuary separate from the activity of the rest of the home.

A second bathroom serves the remaining bedrooms, ensuring the practical needs of family life are accommodated without compromising comfort or functionality. While each space has a distinct purpose, a consistent material palette of textured stone tiles, warm brass fittings and soft natural finishes creates a cohesive design language throughout.

Natural light plays an equally important role. Skylights introduce daylight deep into the bathrooms, while large windows connect the bedrooms to the surrounding landscape, enhancing the sense of openness and wellbeing.

Exciting news from Pirrello Design Associates - DA approval has recently been granted by Inner West Council for a new residential project within the Annandale Heritage Conservation Area.

The proposal includes demolition of the existing dilapidated cottage and construction of a carefully considered new two-storey residence with integrated landscaping.

Designed to respond respectfully to the surrounding heritage context, the home balances contemporary living with the established character of Annandale through an understated, refined and highly functional architectural approach.

This approval reflects a thoughtful design process focused on scale, materiality, amenity and heritage sensitivity - creating a home that contributes positively to the conservation area.

For this open plan living and dining renovation, Pirrello Design Associates designed a space that feels expansive, connected and considered from every angle.

The wide glazing draws the waterfront outlook deep into the living area, while the generous balcony connection creates a natural extension of the interior.
