MTAS Monthly Demo Meeting – Still Life in Pastels with Taryn Malzard, 12th May 2026
Macquarie Towns Arts Society Monthly Demonstration Meeting
Still Life in Pastels with Taryn Malzard Tuesday, 12th May 2026
The Macquarie Towns Arts Society is looking forward to welcoming Taryn Malzard to their next monthly demonstration meeting on Tuesday, 12th May, 7:30pm.
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE at the Hawkesbury Skills Centre, 23 Bosworth Street, Richmond.
Taryn will demonstrate a Still Life in Pastels.
Taryn’s demonstration is based on how to nurture your inner artist while working full time. In a world that seems increasingly busy, juggling full time employment and still being true to the artist within, can be a real struggle.
Taryn says: “I’ve found by stepping back from commissions, exhibitions and large works and allowing myself ‘play time’, has taken away the pressure, and given me license to only work on small and enjoyable works. Thus giving myself art therapy by still challenging myself with tricky subjects and the mindfulness of feeling immersed in my practice. Even if it’s for only one hour per week that I can spare, It keeps the artist in me alive.”
Both members and non-members are welcome to join our meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.
Cost is $5 at the door. Supper is provided.
There is on site parking at the Hawkesbury Skills Center, please drive in to access and street parking is available as well.
