RockyCove Interiors Creating beautiful modern coastal homes

02/09/2026

I will say it again and again and again… interior designers don’t just pick pretty furniture and accessories.
We help shape a home that feels considered, beautiful and easy to live in.
We think about how spaces connect, how you move through them, where your eye lands, how materials work together and, ultimately, how the whole home makes you feel.
Because a beautiful home shouldn’t just be a box filled with pretty things. It should feel like everything belongs.

I love designing kids’ rooms.
They should feel like they belong to them. Their personality, their interests, the things they love, without feeling completely disconnected from the rest of the home.
I like to give kids a say, but within a considered set of choices. Then keep the more permanent (and expensive) elements timeless, and have a little more fun with the things that can easily change.
Because what they’re obsessed with at 7 probably won’t be what they’re obsessed with at 12.
A space that feels like them now, but has room to grow with them. 🤎

Full Service Interior Design is exactly that. The full service.
From the initial design direction through to the final details, I take care of the hundreds of decisions that sit between an idea and a finished home.
Space planning, cabinetry design, fixtures and finishes, material selections, lighting, flooring, paint colours, specifications, documentation, sourcing and liaising with your builder and trades throughout the build.
You’ll receive detailed design documentation and physical samples so you can see how everything works together before work begins, and I stay involved throughout the project to answer questions, resolve details and make sure the design is carried through as intended.
It’s not simply about choosing beautiful things. It’s about creating one considered vision for your home and having someone there to guide it all the way through.

One of the best things you can do before a renovation starts?
Make as many of your material selections as possible before anyone picks up a tool.
Stone, timber, tiles, cabinetry finishes, fabrics, hardware, none of these decisions exist in isolation. Seeing them together early means we can make sure the tones, textures and finishes are all speaking the same language.
It also means fewer rushed decisions on site, fewer compromises because something isn't available, and a much clearer idea of where the overall design is heading.
The prettiest part of the process… but also one of the most important.

We’re very good at thinking about our homes as financial assets.
Will we overcapitalise? Will we get the money back? Is it really worth spending that much?
All completely reasonable questions. But they’re not the only ones worth asking.
Because you don’t experience your home at resale. You experience it every single day.
The kitchen you cook in. The bedroom you wake up in. The places you gather, retreat, entertain and live. And when those spaces don’t work, you feel that every day too.
That doesn’t mean spending recklessly, or renovating for the sake of having something new.
It just means recognising that there’s value in creating a home that works beautifully for the way you actually live.
We spend so much time thinking about what our homes will be worth when we leave them. Perhaps we should think a little more about what they’re worth to us while we’re still living there.

I love homes with personality.
Not the kind that comes from filling a room with "interesting" things.
The kind that comes from creating a home where the owners' character has quietly spilled into the interiors.
It should feel personal. Effortless. Beautiful.
Like it couldn't belong to anyone else.

Every material has a role to play.
Timber brings warmth. Stone adds permanence. Texture softens. Light brings it all to life.
Together, they create the feeling people remember.

The right artwork doesn't just decorate a room. It gives it a focal point, adds personality and quietly brings everything else together. This piece was always meant for this wall. I just didn't realise it would be too big for my car!! Thankfully the framers (Fantastic Framing) saved the day with a delivery home.
