Walkers Steel Art Steel art sculptures Walkers Steel Art specialises natural themed steel sculptures mainly for an outdoor areas.

The sculptures range in sizes from as small as 10cm to 4m in height. We make art to cater for all budgets and sizes of gardens/outdoor areas and some customers have our art inside their properties the largest so far being 2m in height.

My latest eucalypt with chubby wrens is slowly taking shape.

As always, I draw a rough sketch of what I would like the sculpture to look like on the whiteboard. Then I form, cut and assemble the steel to the rough dimensions and shape of the sketch.

I should have this ready for the Armadale Hills Arts Trail in November.

Don't forget that I will be one of the artist on the Mundaring Arts Trail as well and that one starts this weekend 😀

I've been thinking about making something like this for a couple of years now and when I found these made out of 12mm thick plate in the scrap bin I 🤔 straight away of making these.

They are big, heavy and if you're intending to purchase one bring a ute or a trailer 😀

I've got lots going on in the workshop and they all seem to be dragonfly orientated 🐲🪰

I started off making the small spoon handle dragonflies (not finished as yet) then went onto the large dragonflies (not finished as yet) now after finding some nicely shaped scrap I'm making some XXL dragonflies.

These will be made out of my scrap and the scrap I acquired this afternoon so if you like your scrap dragonfly sculptures keep watching 👀 😀 🤪😜

I should have all this lot finished for the arts trails which start very soon.

Mundaring Open Studio Arts Trail 17th to 25th of this month (I'm at Liz Berry's Core Design Studio for this one)

Unfortunately I will not be attending the Kalamunda Artisan Market on Saturday due to being a little bit in pain so setting up and packing away is a big no no for me for the next couple of weeks.

But do not despair because I will be opening up my studio to the public on Saturday and Sunday between 9am and 5pm for those of you that need you Walkers Steel Art fix.

Joining me for our open weekend will be my partner Kerry from wildflowerglass l handmade stained glass with her lovely glass art.
