What started as a simple idea quickly turned into one of the biggest projects I’ve taken on by myself — 1300 handmade flower bunches in 1 week 🥹🌸
Originally this order was only going to be 650 bunches, but after they loved my mock-up designs, the order doubled to 1300 😭✨
As exciting as that was, it also meant balancing this entire project around my other job and somehow fitting everything into every spare hour I had.
So much more went on behind the scenes than just putting flowers together…
There were a lot of supplier messages, organising express deliveries, stock calculations, double checking flower quantities, making sure everything would arrive on time and hoping I had ordered enough of every single stem 😅
Then came all the prep work:
• 1300 cosmos stems cut
• 1300 pieces of boxwood hand plucked
• 1300 lavender stems prepared
• 650 leafy stems handmade
• 1300 leaves individually plucked
• 1300 pieces of twine cut by hand
Hours and hours of flower prep before a single bunch could even be tied 💐
There were late nights, flower explosions all over my lounge, sore hands, blisters, a little too much caffeine 🙊 and moments where I wondered if I’d actually pull it off… but seeing all 1300 finished made it so worth it 🤍
I’m incredibly grateful to have been trusted with such a huge Mother’s Day order and so thankful for every bit of support along the way.
