*Tester Call

Hi everyone! I've written a new little pattern for a cute little crochet coin purse. This time I'm going a bit fruity 🍉❤️

I'm putting together my tester team and need just a couple more helpers. If you think you'd like to help just comment on this post.

You'll have 2 weeks before the test starts to gather supplies, which include yarn, a purse clasp, beads (if doing the bead details), and some material suitable for lining your purse (lining is optional for the beaded version, but necessary if you decide to do the embroidered seeds).

You would need to have some experience crocheting, but not necessarily experienced at making purses. You will have 2 weeks to do the test, which will run from 22nd September to the 6th October.

This pattern includes detailed instructions and photos that guide in making this cute purse, how to make a lining for your purse, and how to attach to a kisslock coin clasp. There are links to my video tutorials for the tricky bits and I'm always available to help.

I haven't worked on my Fiesta blanket by Tinna Þórudóttir Þorvaldar for months, actually I'm not sure I've picked it up yet this year 😏😆 So after using one of the octagons to make a cushion a few weeks ago, I started to feel slight twinges of guilt that I'd abandoned it.

Today I pulled it out, it's a project that I've loved just doing an octagon every now and then, the colours and choosing them gets the creative juices going. And working the pattern on repeat is so relaxing, kinda like slipping into your comfy trackies and slippers.

Well it seems I've actually done more than I realised, this stack is a bit bigger than I thought it was. I do see that sometimes I get a bit lazy and don't weave my ends in as I go 🤭🫣🤫

I'm using Scheepjes Scrumptious in a multitude of colours and my 3.5mm hook.

So happy that I bought the extra yarn to finish this one! It's big and squishy and oh so pretty 🩷

This cushion is made using the Flamingo mosaic pattern from Sixel Design

The yarn is Scheepjes Snowfall and I used my 5.5mm hook.

It looks perfect with the other cushions I made with the Snowfall yarn.

I had 1 row to do in the pink yarn to finish this project, but only enough pink yarn left to finish 17 stitches. I gave in and ordered more yarn.

Of course I had to unwind some of the cake to get to the right colour and yep I'll just use about 1 meter of yarn from the middle of this cake on this project.

That just means I'll have a whole cake of yarn to do something else with 😆😉

I've been waiting for a delivery to arrive so I can finish my next pattern. Yay it arrived today, I'm gonna be busy this...

The pattern has hit a little stumbling block ... while I wait for supplies.

So while I was waiting I made this little option to the original beaded design.

It's a bit more work however it's really hit the mark as far as being like the picture that inspired it.

Working on the new pattern again this weekend. Thinking about an alternative option for this one. I like this one! ❤️🍉🩷 ...
