What a lovely day at the Wellington Sustainability Festival.

Today was the first time The Storehouse Collective stepped beyond our walls and out into the community, and it was such a joy to be a part of it.

We brought along a small selection from The Storehouse Collective along with Worn Studio preloved fashion, and it was wonderful to meet so many people who share the same passion for giving beautiful things a second life.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat, had a browse, or simply came to say hello. Events like this remind us how special our local community really is.

And thank you to the organisers for creating such a vibrant day filled with music, workshops, local food, and sustainable ideas.

We loved being part of it.

We’re here today until 2pm at Nakunbalook in Sale, with a little selection from The Storehouse Collective and Worn Studio.

We’re hitting the road for the very first time! Tomorrow you’ll find The Storehouse Collective out in the wild as we take part in the Wellington Sustainability Festival in Sale.

We’re excited to be part of a day celebrating something we’re passionate about — sustainability through giving beautiful things a second life.

We’ll actually be running two sites on the day:
🌿 The Storehouse Collective – a curated selection of vintage treasures and interesting finds
👗 Worn Studio – beautiful preloved fashion ready for a second life

If you’re heading along to the festival, come and say hello, have a browse, and support local businesses doing things a little differently.

The Rotary Club of Sale’s annual Swap Meet + Show & Shine is on tomorrow at the Sale Showgrounds 🚗

Why not make a morning of it and swing past after for a coffee from our front store Main Street Merchants Gippsland then take a wander through our newly opened extension. There’s plenty to explore and no shortage of old & interesting things — the kind of finds that make a proper dig worthwhile.

Opening Day 🙌
The past 18 days have been intense in every way. Dust, paint, problem-solving, heavy lifting, late nights, early mornings — and a lot of effort from a lot of people. It’s been physical, emotional, and deeply consuming, but also incredibly purposeful.

What stood here just weeks ago has been completely turned around through determination, teamwork, patience, and a shared belief in the vision. To everyone who showed up — on the tools, in the heat, behind the scenes, with advice, encouragement, coffees, laughs, and moral support — thank you. It hasn’t gone unnoticed. 🤍

It isn’t perfect. There’s still work to do. But it’s open — and sometimes that’s the most important milestone. Seeing people walk through the space today, take their time, explore, and feel the shift reminded me why this work matters.

I want to acknowledge Rebecca, our store manager, in a big way. She has gone over and above, day after day, holding things together with calm, care, and consistency through some very long days. Quite simply, this wouldn’t have happened without her.

I’m behind on messages and emails after being completely hands-on through the build. If you’re waiting to hear back, thank you for your patience. I’ll be on coffee for a couple of short days to rest and reset, then I’ll be back in the inbox next week as we turn our attention to admin and the next stage.

Here’s to progress over perfection, to backing yourself (and each other), and to what comes next.
