I'm very excited to share with you some photos from recently completed 'Costello', a beautiful Queenslander carefully renovated and modernised by Ryan and his incredible team at RKB Renovations. Some projects stay with you for a long time — not because of the time they took, but because of the trust, collaboration, and detail that goes into every decision.

This home was one of those.

From the soft, layered palette to the way the stone and joinery work together, every element was carefully considered to create something that feels calm, timeless, and genuinely lived-in — even at this scale.

Grateful to have been part of bringing it to life, and to work with clients who value thoughtful design as much as I do.

Preparing a home for sale is not for the faint-hearted! It takes hard work, objectivity and dare I say it a little detachment. The way you have lived in and loved your home for all those years may not actually be the way which appeals to others. This home is a great example of that. To ready this home for sale, it needed new carpets, updated paint and fresh window furnishings (here we used Norman Soluna roller blinds and locally made sheers for added wow factor). Yes, it’s a lot of effort to go to but to achieve top dollar you absolutely must show off your home’s best potential! If you’re in the process of selling, or just about to get started, I offer a pre-sale consulting service and can turn around curtains and blinds in approx a month whilst you’re busy cleaning and boxing up all your treasures!

When you’re working on the finishing touches to your home, window furnishings play a huge part. They bring the softness, the drama, the privacy and the romance ❤️. I like to pay close attention to the space and pick up colours where it’s right. In this beautiful home, using black tracks really helped with the cohesiveness. Working with the existing black fixtures like light fittings, it came up a treat!
