An experiment in making a granny spiral blanket that I’m hoping I can make round! It’s quite trippy on the eyes, but cute also. Really hope I haven’t created a weird shape that won’t even out 😂
I love this Patons UK so much, I really wanted to create something that flowed with the colours, instead of having jumps where the rows joined. 😊

Such a sweet baby blanket, finished and gifted recently. First pic is closest to the actual colour but second one shows the pattern better. I was very happy with the border I invented too, so pretty 💖
The pattern is called Fish Swim by Carla Snyman Gasson, made with Stylecraft Special DK. I used a 5.5 mm hook for the starting row, then 4.5 mm hook for the body.
Octopus and fish were from free patterns I found online.

An experiment in making a granny spiral blanket that seems to be working! It will end up round, rather than hexagonal, as it looks right now.
I love this Patons UK so much, I really wanted to create something that flowed with the colours, instead of having jumps where the rows joined. Took me a bit but I think I’ve nailed it! Looking forward to seeing it as it grows larger 😊

Oops I did it again……started another new blanket 😂
This time it’s a nice easy corner-2-corner, which is looking amazing in this Sierra 8ply yarn. I’m using a 5mm hook to try and give it some drape but it’s still pretty firm, hopefully a wash will relax the stitches a bit.
Photos of some finished blankets to come soon! Just to prove I don’t just start them and then abandon them 🙃
