🐾 Best Friends Walk 2025 — Let’s Do Good, One Step at a Time! 🐾

Hey everyone! Meet Jesse and his ‘big boof head’ mate, Sultana, who are teaming up for PetRescue’s Best Friends Walk this September. It’s a free, month-long fitness and fundraising challenge where you choose a distance to walk (or run, roam, even dance!) with your BFF—furry or human—to help homeless pets find a loving home.

They’ve set a target of 50 km in a month, and their fundraising goal is $250—but let's help them go even further! Every dollar raised supports PetRescue’s adoption platform, assistance programs, and “time-saving for life-saving” tools that bring pets and people together across Australia.

🐾❄️ I took the Heeler Boyz for a walk down the wetlands this afternoon. Fairly latish as the cold air started to really roll in.

The Boyz were having a ball.

Down the creek for a look.

Where both the Boyz just had to have a wade in the fast flowing creek.

Boof found something dead or something extremely rotten to roll in. He thought he smelt great. But trust me. He didn't!

We get to the board walk and Boof gets excited and dives into the pond for a swim. Bob stood by voicing his encouragement. - Bob loves to chat. About EVERYTHING!

We get across the board walk after I help pudgy Boof out of the pond.

Up the hill. Across the top. Round the bend, back down the hill and back to the board walk to cross back over.

The Heeler Boyz were well out infront of me, and were happy greeting and making a new friend with a dog coming the opposite way.

I was just over half way and the dogs owner had just came onto the board walk.

We met up about 10mtrs onto the board walk, while Bob was still making friends. As he was getting a tad more happy with his new found friend, he became a tad bit more vocal. - when Bob gets chatting, people that don't know him, thinks he's getting nasty and aggressive. But he's just a happy chappy that loves to talk. And LOUD!

So, while Bob's woofing away, for a split second, I take my attention off the lady I was chatting to and Boof decided that he was going to introduce himself to her.

The lady was standing to one side of the board walk - virtually on the edge.

Boof being so excited to meet a new hooman friend, jumped up on her.

Boof not qite understanding his size, weight and strength can knock you off balance if your not ready for him.

As he jumped up to say Hi 👋 the lady took a step back to brace herself for Boofs beautifully hello!

Remember where she was standing?!

With her step back for balance, found the lady upto her arm pits in the pond!

I just stood there with my mouth open in shock! I didn't know what the hell to do or to say.

Boof stood there wondering where his new friend went.

The look on the ladies face was a cross between shock, anger, bewilderment and a touch of WTF just happened!

She climbed back onto the board walk and didn't know whether she should crack the sh*ts and go off, or stand there and laugh!

Even a couple of swans became curious and swam over to see what all the commotion was!

Luckily the lady had a sense of humour.

I offered to drive her home, but she said she was all good.

Good lord she must of been freezing!

So we both parted ways with a light hearted laugh, while she briskly power walked off towards her home and I slunked back towards our home the "off track" way.

The poor lady must of been so cold by the time she got home. But by golly she had a great story to tell her family tonight!

Bloody Heeler Boyz. I can't take them anywhere!

I'm so excited to have three of my own pieces secretly hanging among hundreds of artworks at the 2025 Incognito Art Show – where the artist stays anonymous until the artwork is sold!

Have you heard of the Incognito Art Show

Well..... I've entered 3 pieces of work to be entered into the art show.

As I've been away, I've only just finished them and registered them tonight. I'll have to post them off tomorrow to make the deadline.

I'd love to show you my entries, but... it's all anonymous!

That way people can enter the art show and purchase pieces of art work by absolutely anyone.

*What is the Incognito Art Show?
The Incognito Art Show is a not-for-profit organisation supporting Australian artists. We run Australia’s biggest and most inclusive art show.

The Incognito Art Show isn’t an ordinary art sale. Every piece of artwork (A5 in size), regardless of artist, is sold for just $100.

The Twist?
The identity of an artwork’s artist will remain anonymous at all times. Only once an artwork is bought, will the artist’s name be revealed to the buyer on the back of the artwork.

Profits raised will go towards funding programs that support artists working with disabilities.

The show’s unique model provides greater access to art-buying for those without the usual means to do so, as well as democratises art selection; buyers buy what they truly love, not a big name.

Incognito’s 3 key impact goals are:
To financially support arts organisations with the donation of profits
To provide emerging artists the opportunity to become professional artists
To inspire and develop a new generation of art collectors and supporters
