This vintage 70s Esky was a great find. Still in very tidy condition with only minor surface rust.

I will give the interior and base a coat of balchan professional silver cold gal for that old gal look but good rust protection.

The top will clean up with the Pink stuff from Rust-Oleum.

I want to keep the patina on the tartan but seal it against future rust so it will get a coat of Rust-Oleum 2x satin clear.

The perfect vintage drinks cooler for our next drive in trip......a little prep and a couple of coats of paint. Stay tuned for the finished product.

Not long now and the Easter Bunny brings.... 4 days to tackle some overdue projects at home🤣

Bearers Sealed with Oil Based Primer and Exterior Paint. 👍
Bearers Lined with G Tape👍
Underside and ends coated in Cutek as boards were put down.👍
Screws predrilled and greased👍
Deck given a thorough two coats in Cutek Dusky Brown.👍

The dark chocolate color suits the cream and deep ocean color scheme of the house and hides some of the color variation on decks that have been build 6 months apart.

Very happy with the final outcome. Come and see us if you have a project. We use the products we sell to do the same projects on our homes. Even Mollie approves!
