Did you know about Light Layering?

By incorporating this technique when selecting lighting for your space, you can establish a base layer and add accents to create depth and texture.

AMBIENT LIGHTING 💡:
Also known as 'general lighting', this adds overall illumination to the room, creating a base layer. This could be completed by using pendants, downlights, ceiling fans and chandeliers.

TASK LIGHTING 🔦:
This removes shadows, glares and accentuate specific areas, dependant on the primary function of the room. To achieve this type of lighting, you could add floor lamps, table lamps, cabinet lights or bathroom vanity lights.

ACCENT LIGHTING ⚡:
The final layer ties the design together, highlighting architectural features, allowing personal customisation. Accent lighting includes wall lights, track lighting and LED strip, helping to showcase wall art or decorative elements.
