Background History:
Landmann presence before 2014 was very minimal within Australia and handled through an agent who actually was our competitor within the industry. Landmann finally appointed their own Agent in March 2014 to test the market within Australia with their range of product. This proved very successfully for Landmann as the agent managed to obtain within a 12-month window one of the L
argest Discounted Retailer group, a BBQ Specialist Retailer group and a Camping Specialist retailer group. In total Landmann managed to introduced the Pantera Gas BBQ, Black Pearl Kettle Charcoal BBQ 4 legged & trolley version, Small and Large Charcoal Spit Roasters, Charcoal Pizza oven and the Area and Patio Heaters. Way Forward:
Due to Landmann success within a short period, it was decided in June 2015 that Landmann will have an Office within Australia. After visiting numerous premises within Queensland we selected a premises within Varsity lakes on the Gold Coast of Queensland Australia. The unit ticked most of the boxes that Landmann was seeking for with regards to a satellite Offices/Showrooms and storage facilities to expose Landmann Core product range to the industry. Peter Cohens and his new employee Mitchell Bryant set to work converting unused office space into a showroom, organising a range of Landmann products and Brema products to be shipped to Australia to be displayed in the new showroom. One area was converted to an outdoor living theme with synthetic grass and a variety of outdoor furniture on display as well. Grand Opening:
Although already operating it was decided to set a date for a Grand opening to celebrate the opening of the showroom coinciding with the Landmann 50th anniversary. It was a 2-day catered event with buyers attending as well as our International Landmann staff such as Andreas Schubert, Thomas Lo & Thomas Berg. We were able to expose our Landmann Core Product range to the buyers within the Australia and present to each of them Landmann future vision for the next few years. Besides using a catering company, we also used the Landmann products to cook on during the opening day. The opening Launch was a success and the buyers were impressed with the products presented to them and from this they could see that Landmann will be a player within the Australian BBQ Market. In the interim we have employed Paul Beaton our Regional Business Manager who is using the showroom to it full capacity whereby BBQ Specialists within Queensland are visiting the showroom. We are currently now selecting ranges for all the selected target customers in the Australian marketplace. We will have a Specialist Range as well as ranges suitable for the major retailers of products within the various product ranges that Landmann and its subsidiaries have available.
