I can't remember ever leaving her office without feeling inspired, motivated, and reminded of why I love what I do so much.

Hot material on my desk right now?...Cerano by Rockcote 🤍

A customisable concrete look finish with one or two tone variations, Cerano is tough yet flexible and highly versatile, making it ideal for introducing texture and depth to both interior and exterior spaces.

Applied by hand for an artisan finish, it creates a smooth, textural concrete effect that feels both refined and tactile. Imperfectly perfect, each application carries the subtle character and individuality that only craftsmanship can bring.

The staircase was designed as more than a transition space, bringing movement, softness, and architectural presence into the centre of the home.

The brief presented two competing demands: cost efficiency and sculptural form.

A square void delivered the efficiency we needed, while an inner curved wall transformed the experience of the space, softening the entry, encouraging flow through all living areas, and creating the home's architectural focal point.

Often, the most interesting design solutions emerge where constraints and intention meet.

Two days at Sydney Design Show packed with inspiration and innovation.
Highlights included ultra thin 5mm natural stone panels, exciting advancements in outdoor materials, and highly customisable tapware that is pushing personalisation to the next level.
A strong theme throughout the event was the growing influence of AI and technology, with plenty of conversations around how these tools are shaping the future of design and construction.

This project draws inspiration from the natural forms and rhythms of its beachside setting.
At its centre, a sculptural stone island introduces softness and movement to the kitchen. Inspired by the curve of a breaking wave, its organic form becomes a natural gathering point within the home.
Positioned beneath a generous void, the kitchen is filled with a heightened sense of light and volume. The interplay of terrazzo tiles, limewashed joinery and brushed nickel brings soft texture and warmth, creating a space that feels both grounded and connected to its coastal context.
The result is an interior that is calm, contemporary and distinctly coastal.

Great design isn’t just about what fills a space. It’s about how a space responds to light throughout the day.

Natural light is one of the most powerful elements in any project. The key is knowing how to shape it.
Soft daylight filters beautifully through sheer curtains and can create a gentle diffusion that softens harsh contrasts, allowing materials and forms to reveal themselves with more dimension and character. Carefully considered lighting, including dimmable fixtures and layered floor and wall lighting can create further refinement, shaping the mood of a space rather than simply flooding it with downlighting.
The result feels natural, effortless and calm.
