MEET OUR DIRECTOR – Premier Lifts Director, Andrew Barnard, began his career in the lift industry at the young age of 16, as a 1st year apprentice Lift Mechanic at OTIS Elevators in North Melbourne. During his 12 and ½ years with OTIS, he furthered his position to Service Leading Hand, working in the Rialto Towers, Melbourne’s tallest and most prestige’s building at the time. Andrew then spent 3 years working at City Elevators, and the next 12 years at Independent Lifting Services where he progressed from Lift Technician to Service Supervisor and finally Sales & Projects Manager. Seeing growth in the Geelong area for residential and low-rise commercial lifts and the need for a locally based service company, Andrew embarked on his own journey, opening Premier Lifts in 2008. Premier Lifts started in a small warehouse in Moolap, Geelong, with Andrew as its sole employee. As his business grew so did the need for a larger warehouse prompting the move of Premier Lifts to its first Raptor Place, South Geelong location. Continuous growth, of both customers and staff, has lead Andrew and his Premier Lifts team to their current location of 1/19 Raptor Place, South Geelong, where we continue to grow.
