Wait, that's not a knife!
OK, knifemakers accumulate a lot of artisinal skills that allows them turn their attention to other crafts.
I wanted a nice bass guitar to play in church but was a bit too stingy to shell out the $2K for what I wanted. So I made one.
Thanks to Salty Duck Woodworking for the Camphor Laurel and the European White Ash.
For the guitar nerds out there -
860mm scale length, Camphor Laurel neck reinforced with carbon fibre, European White Ash sides, curly Jarrah fingerboard, Seymore Duncan Basslines pickups and Gotoh fittings.

The 2025 PERTH KNIFE SHOW is looking to be a great show in just 1 week time with top local and interstate makers, resellers, suppliers and more set to take part!

Local maker Jeremy Wheaton of Wheaton Arts & Crafts will be returning to this year's Perth Show. Primarily known for his kitchen knives and folders because of their useful nature, Jeremy always has a variety of knives on display at shows including inlaid folders, art knives and sets of elegant kitchen knives with their clean lines and showcasing the natural beauty of WA timbers. We know there will be something special on Jeremy's table at the show!
