“Interwoven: Motions of Passage traces the quiet movement between people, places and process. A study of texture, rhythm and time, Interwoven reflects the journey of making, where threads pass through many hands before finding their final form. Gestures are repeated, materials transformed, and knowledge carried forward through generations of artisans whose skills are shaped by memory, instinct and devotion to craft.

Designed by Jardan and handwoven in India, each rug embodies this exchange between contemporary design and enduring tradition Interwoven: Motions of Passage is a celebration of craftsmanship as something living. An ongoing dialogue between hand and material, tradition and design, permanence and change.”

WESTGATE 〰️ There’s nothing quite like wrapping up a project with a photoshoot. It’s not just about capturing the space, it’s about capturing the feeling. My clients were excited to see their home and Milo 🐾 beautifully documented by These shoots give my clients a special memento of how far they’ve come and let’s be honest, it’s also a chance for me to showcase their colourful, personality filled space. Interiors don’t have to be cookie cutter white, colour is where the magic happens!

I can’t wait to capture more and more of my work to show you.

WESTGATE 〰️ A different angle of this ensuite transformation, this time capturing the walk in shower and the little peekaboo moment from the master bedroom beyond.

One of the most important parts of this design was creating connection between the bedroom and ensuite through colour. From the deep blues in the bedroom to the softer greens within the bathroom, the colour drenching allows the spaces to flow into one another so naturally. You catch glimpses of colour from room to room, making the whole space feel layered.

The large walk in shower was designed to feel generous without overpowering the room, complete with lots of storage and double stacked towel rails positioned for easy everyday access. Soft stone look tiles and seafoam vertical stack bond tiles bring texture and warmth, while still keeping the palette light.

Being an original Californian bungalow, it was important to retain the feeling of height and openness within the home. We intentionally kept tiling more minimal, allowing the colour drenched high ceilings to breathe, while a small skylight draws natural light deep into the space throughout the day.

WESTGATE 〰️ What was once a dated ensuite is now a space that feels relaxed and connected to the rest of the home.

The ensuite was transformed into a space that feels calm, grounded and a little more elevated. With two separate entrances, a large walk-in shower and twin shower heads, the new layout completely changed the way the space functions and flows.

Soft beige stone look tiles were paired with seafoam vertical stack bond tiles, Florentine Walnut cabinetry and warm copper tapware to create depth and warmth without the palette feeling too heavy. We colour drenched the walls, ceiling and doors to wrap the room in softness, allowing the materials and textures to really speak for themselves.

A large vanity with integrated mirrors and undermount sinks keeps the space feeling seamless, while the handmade Robert Gordon feature lights create a soft glow at night - perfectly positioned as a focal point from the master bedroom. 💡

WESTGATE 〰️ Introducing the study, the very first room you see when entering the home, designed to set the tone for the spaces beyond.

This Californian bungalow already had so much character to work with. Original fireplaces, decorative cornices and ceiling roses gave the room a beautiful sense of history, which we chose to highlight rather than compete with. The walls and custom shelving were painted in Dulux Vipere create a rich, cocooning backdrop - while the period detailing painted in Dulux Snowy Mountains softens the space and allows those original features to shine.

The artwork “Earth 2022” by artist Chris Rivers became the inspiration for the home’s entire colour palette, influencing the layered blues, greens and earthy tones carried throughout the project. Colour plays such an important role here, creating depth and warmth from the moment you walk through the front door.

Books, artwork and treasured trinkets collected during the family’s travels and time spent living in Mexico sit proudly on display, making the space feel personal, layered and lived in. Our clients also salvaged an old banker’s desk, adding another layer of richness and history to the room.

Not overly styled - just a real home for real people, filled with pieces that tell their story. 💙

How cute is the little fireplace?

WESTGATE 〰️ Introducing our Oakleigh residential interior design project. Designed for a busy family who wanted spaces that feel functional, cohesive and reflective of the way they live.

The laundry is a fresh, light filled space designed to make daily tasks a breeze. We kept the palette bright with ‘Polytec Verdelho’ a soft, almost whisper light green, which keeps the room feeling open and calm.

Storage was a top priority, packed with 2x laundry hampers, 2x washing machine spaces, broom cupboards and hanging rails for clothes. Every detail was considered so that this hardworking room stays organised, airy and easy to use.

And of course, Milo couldn’t resist posing for us. He was the perfect little assistant on the shoot 📸 🐾 🐶

WESTGATE 〰️ Introducing our Oakleigh residential interior design project. Designed for a busy family who wanted spaces that feel functional, cohesive and reflective of the way they live.

For the boys’ bathroom, we leaned into a palette of dusty greens and brushed nickel finishes to create a space that feels fresh without being overly polished. With a male-dominated household, it was important that the design felt grounded and easy to live with, while still bringing warmth and personality into the home.

We packed a lot into the layout. We fit a large shower, corner bath, toilet and a matching vanity and mirror, both with ample storage tailored for each of the boys.

The green tones were inspired by the family’s love of nature, camping and relaxed weekends away, bringing a sense of calm and familiarity into their everyday routine. Paired with layered textures, this bathroom was designed to grow with the family for years to come.

MDW 〰️ There’s something really special about spending a weekend surrounded by creativity, good people and great design.

Melbourne Design Week always reminds me why I love this industry so much. The conversations, the ideas, the inspiration, the colour, the materials, the tiny details that make you stop and think differently. (Oh, and the cocktails) It fills my cup every single time.

Wandering Melbourne, seeing beautiful spaces, supporting creativity and feeling inspired by this city again. Feeling very lucky to do what I do 💙
