Friday 13 February 2026 marks 18 years since the National Apology to the Stolen Generations.

The Apology offered essential recognition of the deep and ongoing harm experienced by the Stolen Generations — babies and children forcibly removed from their families and communities.

Yet this symbolic moment was ALWAYS meant to be part of broader, meaningful and lasting change in the lives of survivors and their families.

Eighteen years later, many survivors still face significant barriers to justice, healing and proper care.

It all starts with listening, acknowledging and repairing💜
