Texture > Pattern
High-pile textiles, low-sheen velvets, nubuck leathers, chalked walls, sateen, gloss 2pac finishes and glassy-glazes were layered together to create captivating textural experiences. These finishes and materials were quite often rich or vibrant in tone. Pattern stopped at floor-level, with geometric and decorative motifs mostly confined to floor coverings and rugs.
A Conversation Piece
In a world of AI and social media, we noted the prevalence of design intended to restore human interaction and connection. Larger sofas are angled to direct people inward. Seating that mimicked sunken lounges were also prevalent, while Edra’s latest release boasts a backrest with an adaptable position to promote conversation from either side of the piece.

Rich palettes of saturated colour prevailed throughout exhibitions and showrooms across the city. Pushing the boundaries of colour combinations, layering warm base notes with shots of invigorating vibrancy.
