Come along with us on a Melbourne C*D Craft Shop Trail! 🧶✂️🏙️

We spent the day exploring Morris & Sons, Dymocks, Mind Games, Metro Hobbies and Daiso, with a trip to see Spamalot and a stop at Brunetti thrown in too! ☕🎭

There was crochet on the train, lots of browsing and, of course, a little shopping along the way. 🛍️

A little behind-the-scenes look at Nathan getting this gorgeous purple quilt ready for quilting 💜

First it’s stretched and clipped onto the frame, followed by a quick press to get everything sitting beautifully flat.

Then Nathan bastes down the sides, checks the tension, and it’s ready to go!

The edge-to-edge pattern for this one is Daisy Chain 🌼

Then comes the best bit… watching that first row stitch out from left to right. ✨

🧵 DOT OF THE WEEK #36 - HERRINGBONE STITCH

This week we're learning Herringbone Stitch!

You'll need a 3" felt circle and 3 strands of embroidery floss.

Work your Herringbone Stitch around the edge of the circle, catching the felt as you go. It's such a pretty stitch and lots of fun to do! 🪡

🪡 Dot of the Week #34 – Star Stitch ⭐

This week we’re creating a sweet layered felt dot using star stitch.

You’ll need:
• One 2½" felt circle
• One 1¾" felt circle

Place the smaller felt circle in the centre of the larger circle.

🧵 Attach the smaller circle with running stitch around the edge, then add a star stitch in the centre. Make your star using four straight stitches crossing through the centre.

⭐ Now move to the larger felt circle and attach around the outer edge with little star stitches all the way around.

Another simple little stitch to add to our growing collection. 💚
