Welcome to Coastal Keepsakes — your local destination for personalised gifts and custom signage, handmade on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Damian and Ursula Smith, our family business has grown from a small creative idea into a trusted name for custom keepsakes and event décor. We’re proud locals — Damian’s family has lived in Buderim for five generations, with Townsend Road named after his great-grandfather. That deep connection to community and craftsmanship inspires everything we do. What We Make
Custom cake toppers to make celebrations unforgettable
Laser-cut and engraved gifts with a personal touch
Name badges and business signage to showcase your brand
Wedding and event signage that sets the scene in style
And so much more…
Every item is designed and crafted in our Buderim workshop using quality materials and professional tools — from precision laser cutting and engraving through to CNC work. The result is unique, meaningful creations designed to last and made with love. At Coastal Keepsakes, we believe the best pieces don’t just decorate a moment — they capture it forever.

A little gold, a little glamour ✨

We loved creating this custom welcome sign for the All Saints Catholic School Debutante Ball. Layered acrylic, mirror gold details and a bespoke debutante illustration brought the whole design together beautifully.

Custom event signage is made to suit your colours, theme and style.

How fun is this custom setup we created for Lollipops Crochet 🍭 ! 🍭

The hanging sign is double-sided, so their branding can be seen from both directions, with two lower panels for extra business details and socials. We also made a matching set of colourful acrylic price tiles—perfect for keeping a market stall looking polished and easy to shop.

Each sign is completely customised to suit your branding, colours and business. Ideal for market stalls, shopfronts, studios and pop-up events.

Made to order with an approximate two-week turnaround. Additional sizes and configurations are available on request.

Some pieces we make stay with us long after they leave the workshop.

Creating a memorial plaque for a baby is one of those jobs that carries a weight you can’t really put into words. Every detail matters — every letter, every date, every small decision — because we know this isn’t simply a plaque. It represents a little life that is deeply loved and will always be remembered.

We take our time with pieces like this, knowing they will become part of a family’s memories for many years to come.

It is an incredible privilege to be trusted with something so personal. 🤍

Yes, we agree — it’s FAR too early to start thinking about Christmas… right? 🎄

But Christmas prep starts months before December for us, and we wanted to give you a little sneak peek at one of our new premium ornament ranges for 2026.

These aren’t cheap, mass-produced decorations. They’re made from premium crystal glass, with each piece individually personalised here in our studio.

Choose from two finishes: precision engraved for a timeless, elegant look, or full-colour UV printed for something a little more detailed and vibrant.

Designed to feel special, look beautiful on the tree, and become one of those Christmas decorations you bring out year after year.

Coming soon to Coastal Keepsakes.
