GOING HOME

46 years ago Allan and I and the boys packed everything up and moved from Sale in Victoria to Queensland. The first town we went to was Warwick for 4 years then to Gympie for 22 years and then Upper Coomera for 20 years.
Early this year we made the decision to move back to Victoria and Sale was the obvious choice. Allan was born and bred in Sale so still has connections and I have my sister and her husband and other relatives and friends in the area. We felt like we were coming home.
Allan, myself and our little Jack Russell Terrier left the Gold Coast last Friday and arrived on Monday. We are now looking for our home and we think we may have found it. The hardest thing for me was leaving all the wonderful friends I had made, I will never forget you all and we will definitely keep in touch.

WORKS IN PROGRESS
I thought I would post some examples of the Papertole's my student's are working on at the moment.
I have a large selection of prints so it's very rare that any two student's are working on the same piece at the same time.
They are all doing an amazing job and I am so proud to have them in my classes.

PAPERTOLE
Four more papertole have come back from the framer's. Three of these are my student's work. These were all framed by Phill at Pacific Framing. Love your work Phill.
The church (Church of Good Shepherd, Lake Tekapo) was a photo Lin had that she got professionally printed and has done a marvellous job. The time Lin put into cutting and shaping all those rocks was no small feat. Great work Lin.
The Lion and Cub was completed by Pam, this papertole looks so good. Pam put so much time into this papertole and it has certainly paid off. Excellent work Pam.
The Black Cockatoo was completed by Avalyn, Avalyn did an amazing job with all the feathering , great work Avalyn.
The shell's on the beach was one I did, anything Beach related I love and I am happy with how this one turned out.

WAITING FOR MY TURN.

One of my student's has just completed this papertole. Anna has done an amazing job , love your work Anna.
Anna has friendly magpies that come for visits so she thought she would let them have a look at her work. The way they are looking at the finished work we think they approve.
The name of this print is "Waiting for my turn ", this is another Natalie Jane Parker print. Natalie is an amazing artist.

BOATS ON THE BEACH

I have just completed my 2 Boats on the Beach papertole's. These are very calming pictures and you could picture yourself there. I love them.
These look very simple pictures to work on and yes they were but very enjoyable. Simple pictures still need to be textured well and be very precise, the slightest mistake will stand out more than a busy picture. The grass was the most time consuming as you have to make sure you cut it as fine as possible and make it quite thick.

HIGHLAND COW

Sheryl (one of my students) has just completed this papertole of a Highland Cow. The work she put into it is amazing, getting all the hair right was quite a challenge. Great work Sheryl I love it, you should be so proud of it.

ARMIDALE TERRACE.
One of my student's has just completed this beautiful picture of Armidale Terrace. Chris has put so much work into this tole, cutting out all the filigree trimmings on the verandahs and all the other intricate work. Great work Chris. This was also framed at Pacific Framing .

POSSUM IN THE TREE

This gorgeous little Possum in the tree was Toled by Di Osborne one of my Tweed student's. As I don't travel to Tweed Heads for a class any more the Tweed ladies travel to me at Upper Coomera once a month for their class.
Di has done an amazing job toling this Possum and has now donated it to the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. Great work Di.
