In 2022, S I M E S introduced IP System®: a new way of designing outdoor lighting.

An IP65 modular system combining diffuse and accent lighting, with spotlights and downlights that can be inserted and repositioned along the linear structure.

Designed to complement architecture while preserving the dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces, IP System® allows the lighting composition to evolve together with its surroundings.

A project that embodies the research that has guided SIMES for over fifty years: exploring new ways of shaping light through simplicity and enduring design.

At the Temple Farmhouse Hangars, the Selene Surface Sconce from Marz Designs was chosen to complement the architecture and natural material palette. A soft, ambient wall light, it brings warmth to the interior while highlighting the texture of the surrounding timber and finishes.

Ten years ago, Ghost was born. A project destined to change the way light is integrated into architecture.

Born out of a collaboration between S I M E S and Marc Sadler | Product Design since 1968, Ghost brings light into the material itself, minimising the presence of the luminaire.
Since then, the system has evolved to adapt to in-situ concrete, thermal insulation, building materials and cladding.
Ten years of research, evolution and architecture.

Ghost. Just Light.
