Meet the Florist 🌸

Hi, I’m Emma, the face behind Sutton Florist.

I’ve been fortunate to spend over 20 years working with flowers, beginning my training at Pearson School of Floristry and Sydney TAFE before honing my skills at the iconic Carla Florist in Double Bay.

One of the parts of my career I’m most proud of is spending more than 15 years teaching and mentoring the next generation of florists. Passing on my knowledge and watching others grow their confidence and creativity has been incredibly rewarding.

Alongside running my Southern Highlands wedding and events business, Flowers by Emma, I’ve always believed that flowers have a special way of expressing what words sometimes can’t.

Opening Sutton Florist has been a dream come true—a place where I can share my passion for beautiful seasonal flowers, quality indoor plants, and thoughtful gifts with our wonderful community.

Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, marking a special occasion, or simply wanting to brighten someone’s day, I’d love to help create something beautiful for you.

Some deliveries stay with you a little longer 🫶🏼💕

Today I delivered flowers and a special soft toy for a beautiful lady celebrating her 90th birthday. Her neighbours from her old street all went in together to surprise her, and they asked if I could tie a ribbon around the toy with the name of the street written on it — so she would remember where the love came from.

She now lives in aged care with dementia, and it reminded me that sometimes it’s the little things that mean the most. A simple word on a ribbon. A familiar name. A memory brought back, even just for a moment.

Moments like this are why I love what I do 🩷
