Well… that happened 😅

September school holidays, Term 4 and COLLIDE have all decided to arrive at once… which also means Christmas is somehow just around the corner 😳

Shelley has been busy pulling together another Holiday Fun program (while I mostly contributed coffee, opinions and the occasional “yes, I love that!” 😄).

If you’re starting to think about the school holidays, head over to the website and have a browse. You’ll find something your little maker will love.

Everyone is creative. Sometimes we need a place to remember.

Yesterday’s Posca Craft Club was a beautiful reminder of that.

A few hours. A handful of Posca pens. Good company. No pressure.

Creativity has a funny way of showing up when we make space for it.

That’s one of my favourite things to witness in the studio.

Sunday was Homemade Haus. And this is exactly why I love it. 🧡

A bunch of people bringing along something they’ve made, grown, cooked, preserved or created — then swapping, sharing, chatting and going home with something new.

No shopping list. No fancy setup. No need to be an expert.

Just good people, good stuff and the joy of making things ourselves.

Thank you to everyone who came along, brought something, swapped something or simply hung around for a chat. 🏡

We said goodbye to the goodest girl.

Stella has been part of my life for 15 years, and part of The Dandy Lion story for almost all of it.

My heart is very tender right now, and honestly, I don’t have the words.

i think of the moments before your final breath.
closing my eyes as i imagine your cells slow dancing together and kissing each other goodnight.
i hear your heart sing its final song.
i see your lungs stand and applaud.
as the curtain closed with your exhale i wonder if your body knew that it carried the most beautiful soul.
as i'm grateful to have held you for the time that i was given.
did your body know how lucky it was to hold you for your entire life?

Eight years ago, this little human quietly changed absolutely everything. 🧡

If you’ve been around The Dandy Lion Studio for a while, you’ve probably watched Leo grow up right alongside it.

He’s tested art supplies, stolen the last biscuit, unpacked deliveries, “helped” with workshops, greeted customers, and reminded me more than once why imagination matters.

Today he turned 8, and naturally, he requested a witch party.

There were potions, spells, a new handmade birthday crown, cake, a little bit of chaos… and a whole lot of Magick.

Thank you to everyone who has wished him a happy birthday, cheered him on over the years, and been part of the village that’s helped raise this beautiful, creative kid.

Happy Birthday, Leo.

May you always believe in magick, ask impossible questions, and keep creating a life that’s wonderfully, unapologetically your own. 🧙✨🧡
