🎸✨ Nothing compares to the joy of seeing your students shine while singing and playing the ukulele! ⭐️

After completing my 6-week Level 1 Ukulele Program, Kerri Kerri has made incredible progress and gained so much confidence. I couldn’t be prouder of how far she has come.

As an added bonus, Kerri has a beautiful singing voice that brings every performance to life. It was such a pleasure to record this special rendition of Stand By Me together, with Kerri singing and playing the uke. 💛🎶

Watching students discover their confidence and musicality is truly the most rewarding part of teaching. 🌷🎸✨

Fun Fact about Ukulele ☺️🎸

The word “ukulele” comes from Hawaiian and roughly means “jumping flea.”

It sounds funny, but it actually describes how a player’s fingers move quickly across the strings, like tiny fleas jumping around!

Bonus fact: The ukulele wasn’t originally Hawaiian. It was inspired by a small Portuguese instrument called the machete, brought to Hawaii by immigrants in the late 1800s then Hawaiians made it their own and turned it into the instrument we love today 🎸🌸🌼🌸

I am just an Alexandrian who feels so disappointed and angry for the large scale removal of our dear old Tram Lines!

Alexandria Tram isn’t just a mean of transport, it touches history, identity, and everyday life in Alexandria.

It dates back to 1860s and is one of the oldest tram systems in the world.
For many residents, it’s not just a way to get around, it’s a symbol of the city’s cosmopolitan past.
Generations grew up seeing the yellow and blue carriages running along the sea.

The tram is deeply tied to the “spirit” of Alexandria. It appears in films, literature, and personal memories.

Removing it feels, to many, like erasing part of the city’s personality, similar to removing a landmark.

For thousands of people—especially students and lower-income residents, the tram is one of the cheapest ways to travel across the city. Losing it raises concerns about accessibility and transport equity.

No matter what is the reason behind that decision, it is so sad to witness the erasure of this piece of beautiful part of our beloved Alexandria.
