Plastic-Free shopping is not that hard to do. Spaza's hand-made re-usable, sustainably produced produce bags come in a variety of sizes and colours, have reinforced bases to protect fresh produce from bruisng, a draw string closure and even a tarre weight tag. If they get soiled they can be thrown into the wash without any special treatment and used all over again.

Alternatively, reuse shopping bags when buying fresh produce or bulk foods.

With all the wonderful new eco-friendly ranges coming out these days it is so tempting to throw out everything we have and replace it with the "better" options. Sadly that is not always the best option. Throwing away a plastic container is far worse for the environment than re-using it (and the same can be said for most other things).
That is why the order is REFUSE (to buy anything from companies or containing products or packaging harmful to the environemnt), REDUCE (your consumption of everything - which includes buying new thinhgs that aren't neede ot are just seasonal) and RE-USE (whatever you have - re-use as much as possible)
