Clients come to me with the same worries about natural stone, over and over. So I partnered with to address the five biggest ones. People hear “stone” and immediately think high maintenance, or something they need to be careful around. It’s actually the opposite. Natural stone is made to be lived with, not tiptoed around.

When it’s sealed and specified properly, it’s one of the most durable materials you can bring into a home. It softens over time. It settles in. It tells a story. If you’re looking for something that stays completely perfect forever, stone might not be your material. But if you’re open to something that evolves with your home, it’s a really beautiful choice.

The last 10 weeks have been pretty wild.

14 episodes of Behind the Design recorded, celebrated our 2 year birthday, a new part-time social media team member joining the business, and from August we’ll be expanding the podcast interstate.

At Unfolded, we’ve also taken on a multi residential project in the northern beaches and are about to start on one of Fernwood Sydney’s new women’s gym. We’re also in the process of hiring a another designer to support our clients and larger scale projects, which feels really exciting.

There are definitely moments where I stop and think about how both the studio and the podcast started as creative ideas, and have now grown into full businesses with incredible people around them.

Very grateful for my team, our clients, and the people around me who continue to back me across both businesses. Feeling very proud of what we’re building.

A dining space should feel as good as it looks.

Comfort, flow, lighting, materiality and proportion all play such a big role in creating a space people genuinely want to gather in. The most beautiful dining spaces aren’t only visually considered, they invite you to slow down, stay longer and connect.

At Unfolded, we focus on creating interiors that balance function and feeling equally, layering warmth, texture and timeless pieces that feel elevated yet liveable.

Some recent material moments from projects we’ve been working through lately…

One of our favourite parts of the design process is pulling together all of the finishes and seeing how the palette starts to come to life. The textures, tones, materials, fabrics, stone, timber… all of the little details that eventually shape how a home or space feels.

No two projects ever look the same, which is what makes this part so exciting for us (and our clients).
