The decoration is inspired by the dazzle camouflage employed on British ships during WWI. It was designed to confuse and of course not to conceal. It’s interesting this intersection of art and war, how something that look so fun and joyous can also represent death and destruction. ☮️🕊

Just a few items that are part of the collection I’m making down under. There’s still more to come out of the kiln so watch this space! It’s been an adventure discovering Australian clays and it’s been nice getting to know the range so far

Hey grid and whoever still looks on it! In anticipation of glazing these two mini bud vases, I thought I’d pop in a say hi. Jenni Oh Crafts was borne out of a desire to provide an alternative to mass-produced functional ceramic wares. With a keen interest in sustaining a handicraft style within a modern context, the aim is to bring focus back to the enriching nature of handmade items.

Foremost, the principle behind my work is contemporary simplicity grounded in a belief that even our everyday objects should enhance the spaces they inhabit.

My aesthetic falls somewhere between European and Eastern with wide-ranging influences from Japanese, Korean and Chinese ancient ceramics to Scandinavian and mid-century design, Bauhaus and even kawaii culture. The ceramics, mostly utilitarian in nature are also decorative and seek to sing in the spaces they occupy.

All pieces are lovingly handmade in a small artisan studio in Rome, Italy.
