OCTOBER AT OLD PARRAMATTA GAOL

October is going to be a big one at the Gaol.
We have two paranormal investigations early in the month, followed by something very different for Halloween — three special HALLOWEEN GHOST TOURS through one of Sydney’s most atmospheric historic locations.
Here’s what’s coming up in October…
SATURDAY 3 OCTOBER – 4 HOUR GHOST HUNT
7pm–11pm | 18+
Four hours inside Old Parramatta Gaol after dark.
This is our full paranormal investigation, giving you the opportunity to explore some of the Gaol’s most active areas, use paranormal investigation equipment and take part in structured vigils and experiments.
With almost 200 years of history behind these sandstone walls, there are plenty of stories — and plenty of reports of unexplained footsteps, knocks, shadow figures and other activity.
If you want the full ghost-hunting experience, this is the one.

FRIDAY 9 OCTOBER – 2 HOUR GHOST HUNT
8pm–10pm | 16+
Shorter, but certainly not sweeter.
Spend two hours investigating Wings 4, 5 and 6 — areas with some of the darkest history and most frequently reported paranormal activity within the Gaol.
You’ll use paranormal equipment, participate in experiments and vigils, and have the opportunity to see for yourself what happens inside these old prison wings once the lights go down.

AND THEN… HALLOWEEN.
SATURDAY 31 OCTOBER – HALLOWEEN GHOST TOURS
For ONE NIGHT ONLY, we’re doing something completely different.
These are HALLOWEEN GHOST TOURS — NOT GHOST HUNTS.
No paranormal investigation. No sitting around waiting for a spirit to answer.
Instead, you’ll spend 90 minutes exploring Old Parramatta Gaol as our guides take you through almost 200 years of dark history, hauntings, infamous prisoners, brutal punishments and tragic deaths.
And because it’s Halloween… we may have a few surprises waiting for you along the way.
Expect dark corridors, terrifying stories, theatrical jump scares and perhaps a few things lurking in places they probably shouldn’t be.
Costumes are VERY welcome, with prizes for the best dressed.
And, of course, while the jump scares are planned…the Gaol’s genuine paranormal activity certainly isn’t.
KIDS HALLOWEEN GHOST TOUR
5pm–6.30pm
Our earlier session is specially designed for younger ghost hunters and their accompanying adults.
A spooky, fun introduction to the Gaol with its history, ghost stories, Halloween scares and plenty of atmosphere — with each child taking part in a scavenger hunt, and receiving loads of Halloween goodies!!!!

ADULT HALLOWEEN GHOST TOUR
7.30pm–9pm
Once darkness falls, things get a little more sinister.
Journey through the Gaol hearing the stories of the men, women and children once imprisoned here, the silent cells, the criminally insane, harsh punishments and the deaths that have contributed to its haunted reputation.
And keep your wits about you.
Because on Halloween, you never quite know what might be waiting around the next corner…

ADULT HALLOWEEN GHOST TOUR – LATE SESSION
10pm–11.30pm
Want to be inside Old Parramatta Gaol as Halloween draws to a close?
This is the session for you.
The same 90-minute Halloween Ghost Tour — only later, darker and somehow just that little bit creepier.
